So, you're considering online coaching. Here's what you need to know.

I’ve been working as a one-to-one Personal Trainer (PT) for over 4 years now, and I love it.

The benefits of having a personal trainer are absolutely endless, and if you’re brand new to the gym or training then I would highly recommend you invest in even just a few one to one sessions. Just to make sure you’re really nailing that form and technique!


On your way

But, as much as I love personal training, and preach the benefits. I truly believe online coaching just provides something a little more personal. What happens 90% of the time with PT’s - and here lies the issue - is that the session is priced per hour. And once the hours are up? You’re sent on your way. Goodbye, see you next session.


While the session may be beneficial, what happens before, after, and in between sessions? Because that is where the real progress happens. Most trainers may provide you with some nutritional advice, or a training programme to follow. But other than the hour (or however many sessions per week) you spend with them. You really are on your own.

Now here’s where online coaching differs.


Real-time accountability

People may think, well it’s all online, so there’s no interaction, how could this help me? It’s quite the opposite. With online coaching, you are constantly supported.


Messaging

With access to the app, you gain access to a 1-2-1 messaging system. Your coach responds to questions at any time. If a client needs me, I get back to them ASAP.


Check Ins

You have weekly check ins. This involves uploading progress pics, measurements, and weigh ins to the app. Which I then review with you, and make any appropriate changes. The weekly check ins keep you honest.


Accountability is the #1 most important thing when it comes to coaching. Having someone to hold you accountable is what truly makes the difference.


It’s someone to constantly support you. It’s bespoke and personal. Online coaching isn’t just some cookie cutter 6 week plan that’s sold in bulk online. It’s tailored to you. It’s built with your personal goals, likes, dislikes, schedule, and it’s also ensuring you have as much support as you need.


We work on improving your habits and behaviours, I’m there to help build you up, and improve mindset. With online coaching, I teach people how to manage a healthy lifestyle around social events and occasions. Ensuring you don’t lose parts of your life you enjoy while you hit those goals.
